Course Description

Are you looking to learn more about the anatomy of the human body? The inner mechanisms and functions of the vertebrae and the skull are fascinating. This online course on the osteology of the head and neck by Dr Saqib Mansoor takes you through the head and neck's structure, function and composition. A proper understanding of these critical parts of the human body is crucial for anyone looking to understand anatomy. The course introduces the essential parts and functions that the head performs and explains how doctors and scientists analyse the head. We will examine the different views of the skull or ‘normas’ in depth along with its bone structure, sutures and other aspects. Are you looking to understand the inner workings of the skull? Look no further. The skull's interior will be your focus in the next section of the course. We explore the various divisions of the cranial base and their structures and functions in detail. The multiple bones forming the interior, anterior and middle cranial fossa will be researched. We will discuss all these aspects of the skull with diagrams to ensure you understand every part of the lesson. We then investigate the temporal fossa region and provide images. We will discuss the various boundaries and contents of the fossa before moving on to the infratemporal fossa. We describe the different connections between the temporal and infratemporal fossa, along with the methods of communication between the two. Are you curious about how the jaw functions within the human body? We investigate the composition and function of the strongest bone in the human body: the jaw. We will then carry out an anatomical analysis of the mandible where diagrams provide an in-depth description of the various parts and segments of the mandible. The last section of the course looks at the structure and function of the cervical vertebrae. We will discuss the bone component that makes up the central portion of the cervical spine. We will interpret each part from the anterior and posterior views. A proper understanding of the skull and cervical spine is critical for anyone looking to study human anatomy. These body parts make up a significant chunk of the human body's core functions. So don't waste any more time. Enrol now and ensure that you thoroughly understand the anatomy of these significant areas of the human body!

Are you perhaps curious about the structure and function of the human skull? Or are you presenting the osteology of the head and cervical vertebrae to a class of learners? If the answer is ‘yes’, you have come to the right place. This online course on the Anatomy of Osteology of the head and neck will give you all the information you require.
